You measure the air chamber by removing the spring, bushing and washer and compress the fork. Then you measure the "depth" of the oil from the upper part of the fork till the oil itself inside the leg. This is called the air chamber
In the service manual is written that you should use 134mm...
So,
I've sent a message to Ohlins and got an answer :)
As the service manual says 134mm air chamber, Ohlins recommends to use 120mm instead.
This is measured without springs and bushings/spacers.
They also recommend to use oil 01314-01.
I'll adjust my forks this weekend and post the...
Hi,
I don't quite see how you can mis-align the fork legs.
As far as I know, the lower legs turn indepently from the upper part.
When mounting, they will align themselves when mounting the wheel ??
My weight is about 61kg dry on the hook :) That should be something like 135lbs
Its hard to explain, but I'll give it a shot. I have the feeling that the damping is not what is should be. I have the feeling that the front end is more loose than with the std springs. Although I do not have a lot...

As these were not new ones, they came without fork oil. My dealer gave me A-grade 10w oil.
I fitted them according to the instructions in the service manual...
Already found that one, I presented the unit this way, but its not quite an eyecather with the extra wire and the unit on top of the N dash.
Thanks anyway :)
I just installed an acumen DG8 on my '07 FZ6-[b]N S2. Everything is working but I'm still looking for a good place to mount the display near my dash.
I thougt installing it between the dash and the ignition key, but I don't have enough room over there.
Has anyone mounted such a device on...
Last weekend I drove around the block w/o dB killers and had to return to put them in. That says enough ? :)
When I closed the gas in 2nd, the exhaust made some nice sounds too :p
I've installed the Carbon Devil's this weekend.
Sounds great. But I'm a little bit dissapointed with the finish of these units.
The installation was rather annoying because I couldn't get them alligned correctly and took them off multiple times before I was statisfied
Also, the weld on the...
Messing around in the DI menu today and stumbled across the CO menu.
It appears that you can adjust the CO levels of the bike.
