You folks sure about the alternating pattern? I thought the clamp was similar to MX clamps where you torque the tops first to bottom them out, then torque the lowers?
I had my first track day at Putnam yesterday. It started out raining, and we had great grip for wet weather. After lunch it dried up and thing got a lot faster. Great experience. I'm hooked!
I wonder if I can entice our local 13 year old, military wanna be's to ambush them with airsoft pellets? Maybe a Dairy Queen for every Tango Down? Just kidding.
You have to dress for it, but I've been comfortable down to 18 deg. F with no ice on the roads. Ski pants, and a sweatshirt under my Kilamanjaro jacket do a great job. I look forward to a hot cup of coffee at the end of the ride though...
I must have been especially good this year. I got the Givi V46 case and bracket for the FZ! I can't wait to try it out on this year's, second annual Tail of the Dragon trip.
Well, I won't call you a traitor. I did exactly the opposite. I went to my dealer for a VStrom, and ended test driving and buying the FZ. I love the FZ, but probably won't be taking it up to Prudhoe Bay next summer...
The mod worked out excellent. Just a note, I found a package of "Ford Assorted Connectors" at AutoZone which had a couple of the pieces you fabricated. Made the job a little quicker for me for about $4.
