At this point, we have run a jumper wire from the two solid black wires on the ecu to the negative side of the battery which did not change the symptoms we are having. Also checked dc volts of those two black wires which read right below 12 volts. Lastly, we checked the thick ground wire from...
Sorry i havent been replying at all lately. Ive been off at college and the bike is at my parents house at the moment. I am planning on trying to get back into it and hopefully find the problem in the next few weeks. It is showing error codes 12, 13, 15, 22, 43.
We borrowed a different ECU...
Thats what I had originally thought, but I guess i didn't have much luck. The engine does run when I ground the injectors, but by no means does it seem to be 100%. Any ideas on where all I should check for a ground, the wiring diagrams are difficult to follow.
Thanks
Ive got a 2009 fz6. Had to get the tank repainted and while it was off I repainted the frame because the previous owner painted red stripes on it. Went to put everything back together and it wont stay running unless I use starting fluid. It will barely idle for a couple seconds and then turn...
Finally got back around to messing with the bike again and its pulling some diagnistic codes it hasnt pulled since the problem started. Its pulling 13, 15, and 43
15 and 43 both say it could be from fualty ECU. So the best thing I could probably try to do is find someone near me that would let...
Cleaned the wires with mass air flow cleaner and nothing changed. Any reason I couldnt just run a ground wire to the injector ground and leave it at that? since it runs with them grounded?
Before I came to yall for some help, I had taken pretty much every connector apart and sprayed them with wd40 before putting them back together. Should I take them all apart again and use mass air flow?
Not that I know of. Only thing that might have done something was when we put the tank back on the seal in the bottom was bad so it leaked gas pretty much on whatever was under it until I got the tank back off. Not sure if that could have done anything
Connecting test lamp from battery pos to injector positive Doesnt make a difference. Only when connected from battery ground to injector ground.
Just hooked up multimeter to the positive wire on injector plug and negative wire on the injector plug and turned the bike over to see how much power...
All I did to remove injectors was unplug them and get the fuel rail loose. That gave me just barely enough room to squeeze the fuel injectors off of the fuel rail. Cleaned them by connecting them to a battery and rigging up carb and choke cleaner to spray through them, saw this on youtube...
Only thing I had to unplug was the gas tank. I put a new airfilter while the tank was off and put on new clutch and brake levers on the bars.
When I got the tank back and on the bike it would just turn over but wont start. It ran fine before. So i changed spark plugs, fuel pump (even though I...
