Need pictures of front fender on S1 with R6 forks

trepetti, I've got R6 forks on my S1 as well as the dako81 fender adapter kit. Did NOT have to cut the fender at all. Took a bit of fiddling to understand which mount goes where (which direction) but that might have been due to the Coronas. Hit me up if you'd like some close-up pics ANLR21

    Sprocket change

Agree with Gary above. -1/+2 will result in a major change, but it depends on what you want to accomplish. For twisties, might be just the ticket, but keep the stock set or grab a +1 countershaft sprocket for your road trips to keep the RPMs down and improve the mileage if that's your goal. Not...

Trying to reach him via FleaBay, mine broke from vibration after a number of years. Hopefully he still has or is still making some.

    Electrical Problem or Riding Problem?

We've all been there. We won't talk about how long it took me to figure out the weird noise in my car after replacing brakes was the bent coat hanger I had used to hold the caliper while changing the pads and had forgotten to remove. Duh :-)

Pulled the trigger on R6 forks - a few questions

The photo depicts the same setup as mine. I had no issues, no cracking and the fender doesn't seem to be under much tension. This may just be fork-to-fork variations, but the adapter on mine is "leaned" back more than this one, but due to the rear mount he may have had no choice. Zixag, you may...

Doing 2003 R6 fork seal and oil change, cannot get dampening assembly out.

I used a 10mm hex wrench in an impact drill, holding the stanchion tubes firmly (but not tight) in a worktable-mounted vise. I had tried several things, this worked the best for me. The key as FinalImpact (got my R6 forks from him) notes above is to jam the assembly just enough to allow you to...

    Question regarding front sprocket size

Welcome! On mine, I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket to a 15T to help improve acceleration a bit. Really does make a difference. Going up a couple of teeth on the rear will accomplish the same. I'm really not concerned with mileage so I don't check it closely, but still get at least...

FZ1 handlebar swap: Thoughts and a question

Like Ohendo, I added 1" bar risers, carefully adjusted the bars to avoid contact with the tank. With the risers I was able to maintain a good "flat" overall angle to the bars, no issues

    rear shock came apart wtd?

Yes, my super-mechanic did it for me when I had him do the valves and injectors, pushed it only about 2-3 degrees since I don't have a fuel controller (and he's more precise than I). Smoothed out the middle in the 6K-8K transition, didn't change the jerkiness down low but I'm not bogging the...
