It's no secret that FZ6 owners are geeks... you bought the FZ6 for it's amazing capabilities after making a rational and intelligent choice... the mods you do are in general more practical than "squidish" and you typically don't care to be bad*ss like most gixxer kids and their mohawks, or wannabe Harley riders and their chrome & brain buckets...

Admit it, you're a geek :BLAA:

So with this deep and wise analysis, how about you guys post pictures of your computer rigs and/or multimedia setups... I am sure some of you build your own computers and have sick multimedia setups at home so post'em up! Include a list of the hardware inside your computer if you can...

We'll even accept pictures of you MAC users who think you're cool :rof: :Flip:

BTW ..are MAC owners like the Harley owners of cyberspace ???. :BLAA:

hmm im thinking harley owners are the people who go to a store their neighbour said he got a good pc from, walk in and buy a slightly higher spec one. but still, the one they bought is totally crap since they got it from a local supermarket.

I believe KTM riders are the apple owners, like the supermoto 990 with cases on the side, not really supermotards or offroad vehicles, way to much hp (120) to go offroad, the bikes too big to use as motard, so wtf do you want it for?

Or another option, Yamaha R1/GSX-R1000 riders with brand new clothing, that seem to stay brand new for ever. and the tires only wear on the center.

I use an iMac, MacBook and iPhone because each - like my Yamaha FZ6 - does all I want it to do and more, it looks good and, most important of all to me, it works every time I press the go button :cheer:

Can't say what's inside my computers because I wouldn't know what I was looking at :BLAA:

I could post a pic but it doesn't "look" like much. I'll tell you what I have:

Thermaltake Tsunami case with a 850w PS
Foxconn AM2 MB with an AMD x2 5000 CPU
4 GB Corsair RAM
nVidia GX 260 Video Card
WD 74 GB Raptor
Seagate 300 GB SATA 3
Plextor SATA DVD Burner
Sound Blaster X-Fi Gamer
Logitech 5.1 surround speaker set
Logitech Orbit MP webcam
Razor gaming mouse
LG 24" 1920x1080 widescreen LCD (Primary)
Sony 1280x1024 LCD (secondary)

It's a sleeper. Looks plain-jane, but plays games quite well.!

I haven't upgraded in a little over two years with the 260 video being the only exception. I typically upgrade because a great FPS is hitting the market but it has been two years without a GREAT FPS release IMHO! :D

Ditto on the "no pisc, don't look like much", but I'll give you a few highlights:

Network:
3000 Meters of CAT6 network cable installed in the house.
1 Cisco Small Business Managed Switch SGE2000P (Used as core switch).
3 NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless Access Point WPN802 (WiFi to cover entire house)

Servers:
80Tb of RAID5 Mounted Intel NAS.
1 Exchange Server (12Gb RAM, 128Gb Solid State as primary disk).
1 RedHat development server. (4Gb RAM, 128Gb Solid State as primary disk).

Laptops:
1 Dell XPS M1330 (Backup laptop for my DJ'ing work)
1 Dell XPS M1710 (Primary laptop for my DJ'ing work)

PC's:
1 iCore7/8Gb Ram/128Gb Solid State HD/2Tb RAID5/GeForce 9800 GTX+ (My primary PC)
6 other PC's all between ½ and 3 years old.

In general I use Logitech keyboards, and Logitech track-balls, ASUS or Intel motherboards, Intel CPU's, and Intel or Netgear network cards. My RAM is in general from Kingston.

Sound:
Sonos system in most rooms of the house.
1 Netgear DIGITAL ENTERTAINER HD EVA8000 for streaming internet and movies to the main TV.

(I wont get into my home studio setup, thats just to much info :) )

I use my computers for Music, Video and development, so I don't care that much about weather or not it's up to the latest gaming specs.

I admit I am a geek but I didn't put together my computers...

I use my laptop for most stuff.
HP Pavillion dv6000, amd turion 64, 250 gb, upgraded to 4gb ram...it gets the job done.

My other half has the nice 27" iMac.....*drools* 1tb hd, 4gb ram
That what we do all of our photo processing, video editing and movie watching on. I'm not a fan of their price tags but man oh man, an HD video looks super crisp on there.

The latest COD is awesome! :)

Nice rig though... good choice on the raptor...

 dude... nice!!! we need at least one pic of something!! :) How are those solid state drives?? Is it worth it???

Here is my setup:

- Thermaltake Element S chassis
- Asus Mobo P5NSLI
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3GHz
- 4GB RAM Kingston
- Geforce EVGA 285 GTX
- 300GB Sata Raptor 10k rpms (for WIN 7 Ultimate)
- 2 * 1TB Sata in RAID 1 (photos/videos)
- 2 * 250GB
- XFi Audio
- External firewire CD/DVD burner
- Internal IDE CD/DVD burner
- 750W Corsair power supply
- I use the 52" LG LCD in living room as display (via hidden HDMI cable)
- Logitech edge keyboard (I need bluetooth for the 30feet range through walls), and MS bluetooth mouse (only one I can find :()
- Xbox wireless controller for PC for Dirt 2 and a couple of other car games...

It runs games on that display in 1920*1080 like a champ! :BLAA:

I just did a budget build about 4 weeks ago. I tried to keep upgradability in mind.

Thermaltake V3 black edition case (on sale)
Hitachi 1Tb HDD (on sale)
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (on sale)
Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core (i7 platform) (on sale)
Thermaltake Certified 80plus modular 850w PS (on sale)
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VXL Radeon HD 5770 1GB Overclock edition (DX11 card, on sale, actually purchased the regular edtion and they shipped the overclocked edition)
ASUS P7P55D EVO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Mobo
ASUS VH236H Black 23" 2ms HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080P LCD (on sale)
An Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro Rev.2 heat sync
A couple extra fans, dvd drive, card reader, some cheap 2.1 speakers, keyboard, and mouse (mostly on sale)
Windows 7

I can basically drop in an i7 if I decide its slow, drop in more ram, throw in another 5770, and a solid state drive and have a complete monster.

troll lmao :Flip:

btw, I used to own a Commodore 64!!! That thing was awesome!

Ha!!! And you think I'm joking..
Well, I am.

But, I did have one, it was my first computer... Except... I had the 5 inch floppy disk drive... I was the envy of all my friends.. They all had the tape drive.. :BLAA:

My current pc is nothing special. Generic "Compac", off the shelf stuff, Athlon chipset and 4 gig ram.

I had the 5 inch floppy too! I remember playing some egyptian game running towards a pyramid and having to avoid arrows being thrown from the sides... or "Nibbly" (sp?) which was a snake with a tail getting longer as time went by and you had to move around at increasing speed without biting your own tail... awesome memories :)

Then I played the hell out of an amiga 500+ :BLAA:
