I keep seeing this headlight on what I assume are stock bikes and all over the place on here.. Is that a stock yamaha headlight that was only on certain models, is it from an fz1, or is it aftermarket? Im about to pick up an 04 Fz6 and would love that style of headlight for it..

Thanks!

This is the stock FZ6N headlight from the (N)naked bikes overseas.

They also have a FZ1N and that is what most of us north american guys seem to use when we convert. It just needs a little bit of modification.

Ahhh.. Thanks alot for helping the newb.. After looking around it appears they are like 500 bucks unless you can find one pulled from a wreck.. Maybe ill go with an 05 gsxr 600 headlight with the built in projector fog.. Those look pretty sick too..

Cool tailchop! You only take skinny pillions I gather :)
Did you make a custom subframe?

I shortened the subframe and cut the seat. Then I shortened the lower tube and welded it into the top tube to get rid of more excess metal.

The seat still isn't done yet. I would like to reshape the pan so it flows more with the tank and subframe. Also clean up the rear of the seat so it looks like a solo seat instead of a chopped normal one.

Powder coat the rearsets is needed badly also.

This was originally a red 06. I was debating about going nekid with it then I crashed so my mind was made up for me.
I did the R6 fork conversion, Galfer steel break lines and HH pads, R6 header and Hard rock GP pipe, Raven wheels, 08 black tank, Pro Taper bars, rizoma grips and Buell Lightning headlight/windscreen.

I went for a ride with a buddy with a vrod. took some ****ty camera phone pics. But the seat got me thinking. If we added a smaller leather strap like the vrod has to break up the seat, would it look bad?

Probably isn't the right forum to put this but it is a pic of my FZ6N:rockon:

How loud is it? Got clip?

Sticker on frame needs to go as well :)

And the stickers on my swing arm, but I don't wanna be illegal now. It's like ripping the tags off of your pillow. They can haul you away for that............ :rof:

I don't have a clip of my bike but here is the link to HR's R6s video.
Hard Rock Exhaust

I think it's a little loud and obnoxious but it was the best option in my opinion in order to chop the tail. People I ride with have mixed opinions about the exhaust. The people that don't like it are usually still running stock or they have a big throaty VTwin.
The reason I went with the HR1 is that it has an adjustable back pressure plate.

I get a whole lot of looks and compliments on the bike. People are always trying to figure out what it is... thats the best .... I love it when people come all the way accross a parking lot just to catch me and ask me questions about it with confused looks on their faces.
