Bear with me, tried to do an extensive step-by-step for everyone who is considering this. First thing is to dis-connect battery so the electronic control will reset for the new exhaust flow. I left it undone for the whole install.

Next, is to remove the side covers. Only one screw where the allen wrench is showing on each side and they just pull off the friction tabs.

After that, you can remove the whole upper rear assembly. Dis-connect the lighting connector and remove the bolts where the wrenches are shown(six all together).

The muffler and the catalytic converter can be removed. There is a clamp between the cat-pipe and the muffler. There is a bracket right at the brake cylinder which holds the cat-pipe and a clamp where it meets the headers.

Did I mention Lock-tite is your friend.:thumbup:The cat-elim pipe is now ready to be installed. Install the clamp where it meets the headers and the new bolt, washers and lock-nut at the brake cylinder. Next is to slip on the intermediate pipe that goes between the cat-elim and the pipes. This and the mufflers are held by the Leo-Vince springs. There is a "coat-hanger" looking tool that makes installing these springs very easy.

There is a new bracket from Leo that replaces the old one to attach the mufflers to. The holders consist of a bolt, spacer and washer. They aren't too difficult to line up. There is also a new bracket that goes down between the mufflers to capture the lower tail fender assembly(4 bolts).

Black ty-wraps look so much cooler.:D Basically, now you can just put it back together in the reverse order from here. The pipes were stingy to get aligned perfect, but I am very picky. The bracket that goes down between the mufflers does not quite fit perfect, but I am very picky. Coming together now! Sounds really good to me - very deep and thunderous.

In case you were wondering, I used the bike frame as a reference to see just how much farther those new pipes stick out. I would say about an inch and a half.

Those headers look kind of CRUDY! I found this product - Blue Job....I know what you're thinking....sounds like Smurf porn right? But, seriously, it does an OK job. I may try something better in the future. Hope that someone finds this thread helpful. More mods to come........ :Sport:

Man, you're my hero! Thanks to you I got the same deal and should receive my titaniums on Wednesday. This thread definitely will help me with my install.

Awesome and we all thank you for taking time to visually document this whole process.

Nice write-up, thanks!

One question though : my Leo's have the LeoVince logo on each side, like in this pic :

d_6008.png

Yours don't seem to have that. How come?

The ones that came with mine are a little thicker and metallic. I also have a spare set. I peeled them off because I like the stealth look even more.:D Besides, the same exact logo is raised on both end tips.

Well those on mine are actually thick and metallic as well. When I was deciding on a new exhaust, I thought they looked cheap and fugly, but once installed, they look pretty classy

Update! Just got back from my 170mile trip around Virginia and up to Fredericksburg (Rat-Rod car show). Absolutely LOVE the sound! Really like the look of it, too. Got a lot of compliments today. Used 92 octane. Got slightly better mileage at around 49miles/gallon. The heat from under the bike is NOTICEABLY less. Engine temp is running a few degrees cooler - even on a scorcher like today(98 deg). Power feels about the same, but we will see if that changes next week with the PCIII and the Leo map. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.:Sport:
