  • dantow nice bike man what mods av you got on it...is it jacked up m8 it looks pretty high on the back...what cans you got ??
Hey Dantow, thanks for asking, the bike is definitely running smoother and stronger, not quite wanting to lift the front end like yours, but maybe if I had it dynotuned.

Occasionally I get the urge to try a little wheelie, with the new K&N, it has become easier.

Sadly its pretty boring around here, unless I head out Church Point way, or go up the coast towards Newcastle, the old highway is quite fun and challenging up there, but a bit dangerous too.
I haven't seen many either, in fact theres only one I really see in the local area in red.
I've seen about a million street triple since I got mine, so I'm glad I didn't make what seems to be the most common choice :D
Just out of interest how do you find your 2bros m2, thats the main contender for my bike once I get some moola together.
    Thanks for the welcome.
I'll check out the aussie fizzers as soon as i work out how to use the site correctly.
I work on a computer but have been slow on the online stuff.

Hiya, I'm in the North Shore area
Thanks mate! I don't ride in the rain unless I have to, but the lack of a hugger is not much of an issue.
Ok, I have ridden the bike to work and back the past two days, definitely smoother throttle, a little more power. I didn't have it dynotuned so it is not trying to lift the front wheel unless I make an effort to. Definitely better than the airbox mod ;)

Can't wait to get a powercommander and some M4's or 2 bro's on it.
So far I have only ridden it home from the shop, about a mile. That being said, the throttle felt a lot smoother and it felt like it had a little extra power, can't wait to really get it out and give it a try.

    Thanks for asking.
Will do. Also getting new rubber put on. pirelli diablo rosso's. Its going to be like a whole different bike to ride I think!
I think you are right, with the o2 sensor it shouldn't be a problem. Let me know what you think about the k&n when you get it home.
Just sent my bike in for it's 20k service. I am having the K&N filter put in. Have you done yours yet? If so, what was the difference in performance?
Ah, the airbox mod, I can't say that it did anything negative to the bike. There is a pretty extensive thread on this with a lot of input from mechanics and technicians that Wavex gathered, but the bottom line is none of them could agree on whether or not it hurt or helped the bike.

For the first 2 weeks I kind of liked the sound, it dropped the engine down about an octave. But then it kind of started bugging me, especially when I would get up over 8,000 rpm, it sounded like it was bogging down, like it had a chest cold, and my air filter was taking a beating. I switched it back before we went on the weekend ride and I'm glad I did, it just sounded healthier.

The new airbox cover cost me $14 American, my advice, by a new airbox cover, do the mod, see what you think, if you don't like it after a couple of weeks, you have the fresh cover right there. Hope this helps.
Thanks! I also painted the triple trees handle bars and forks black. they all came siver also. Did the power comander and sprockets make a big differance in power?
