Error Code 30

I just picked up a 2006 FZ6, it was running but at low rpm's I could tell one of the cylinders wasn't firing, but at higher rpm's it kicked in and ran fine.

I figured out it was #1 cylinder so I put new plugs today. Now I get error code 30 and the bike will start and run for a few seconds them cutoff, start it up again and a few seconds it dies again. Any ideas?

Re: Error Code 30

Code 30 is the lean angle switch (latched). Did you happen to mess with any wiring when you replaced the plugs, or tip the bike over for some reason? We're going to need more information on your problem:

How did you determine the #1 cylinder was the problem?

Re: Error Code 30

The lean angle switch was tie wrapped and before I realized what it was I had moved it. I put it back up but still get the message. I unplugged the spark plug wires one at a time until there was no change in the motor and that was number one.

Re: Error Code 30

Interesting the things that happen to these bikes!

Zip ties
Duct tape
Epoxy
Super Glue

All sounds McGuyver'ish. . .

Did you get this one figured out?
